Back in July I drove down from the Bay Area to Southern California to attend the Gorilla Mindset seminar hosted by Mike Cernovich in Santa Monica. I had the chance to meet Mike last year a the RNC in Cleveland, and have followed his work for six years, since he first started writing on Danger and Play. He is probably best known for his political reporting, which made him exponentially more influential (especially through Twitter and Periscope) over the course of the Trump campaign in 2015-2016. He was one of a handful of people (including Ann Coulter and Scott Adams) to predict a Trump victory, shortly after he announced his candidacy.
What drew me to Mike initially though, and is still the most compelling part of his character, is his mindset work. His life over the past five years has served as a case study in the power of your mindset to propel your life momentum to previously unimagined heights. He codified his philosophy on the subject in Gorilla Mindset, which he published in the summer of 2015.
Mike went ahead and recorded the seminar, which you can watch below. Mike isn’t a guru talking down to people from the mountaintop, he’s a regular guy in many respects, but with an outsized zeal for life and achievement. I appreciate the time he has taken in recent years to respond to my messages and the inspiration that he has been in defending the positive role of masculinity in society and fighting for the truth that America’s corrupt establishment tries to hide.
